Jon D.- Sorry Jon, did'nt mean to be a smart aleck(sp). Yep, I did think that you might attempt to remove the front pulley cover. The rear belt guard though is ever so much important. Your particular application may work ok but you should always consider the unusual happening. I would always err on the side of safety for a working bike which yours seems to be. Things I stress for my passengers -- no loose or long shoelaces -- no full or baggy pants -- never remove the foot from the peg. Sorry to appear paranoid, but i've seen more passengers injured than riders.
